Complete waste of a lot of money
$204 each to get into over crowded park, 1 to 2 hour waits for rides so had to by $270 each for express pass's and still had up to 45 minute wait and could only use express passs once for each ride. Got to go on 2 good rides and 3 ok rides for $500 each in 9 hours. I will never go back!!!
User's recommendation: If you must go make sure it’s on a day that won’t be too busy or you are wasting your time.

Verified Reviewer |Horrible experience
We have booked through and stayed at Universal's own resorts many times and have always been pleased. This time I booked through Universal as always, however, I thought we could try out a partner hotel that they advertise.
We chose a package with four-day park-to-park tickets and four nights at Coco Key Waterpark and Resort. As soon as we opened the door to our room, the smell of mildew or mold hit us. It was bad, and we have a daughter with asthma. We couldn't stay there.
We immediately spoke with the front desk at Coco Key, and they agreed to give us a full refund. They immediately refunded our daily resort fees that they had collected thirty minutes prior and advised that the money we paid for the hotel stay would be refunded by Universal. We checked in and back out within thirty minutes. We spent 28 minutes and 40 minutes on the phone with Universal on that day.
Universal advised us to reach back out to them if we hadn't seen the refund by the 17th (four days), we gave it until the 22nd. Then we called Universal because they still had not refunded the $600 for the hotel. Spent another hour on the phone on this call. Sadly, they are playing games, telling me that they have to check with Coco Key.
Well, Coco Key told us that Universal owes it to us, as Universal made the reservation and didn't end up paying Coco Key because we didn't stay. We were against a wall on check-in day, so we allowed Universal to make us a new reservation at their new resort, Stella Nova. This resort was $1,651 for four nights. We were required to pay it in full and wait for the $600 refund for the original reservation.
Long story short, we are out of our $600 plus we paid an additional $1,600 to stay at one of their nicer hotels (it was the only hotel they had an open room in). Big corporations like this and won't refund $600 when we upgraded to a different hotel due to medical reasons, that's *** service, and greed at its finest. They got me this time, but I promise they will never get that opportunity to do that again.
We have been several times throughout the years and never had an issue. Times must be tough for them.
- Park is great
- Customer service horrible
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Stay outside of there hotels

Verified Reviewer |TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY
I flew all the way from Michigan to come to Universal Studios in July 2024 and let me tell you, it was a disaster! I paid about $900 for me and my family and it was not worth it at all.
All the rides we attempted to get on kept closing down after waiting about an hour. The Rip Ride was good, but it took us three tries to get on it because it kept closing down. We rode the Men in Black attraction, but that was a ride for kids if you ask me. So, I paid $900 just to sit in the cool area that sprays mists of water to keep us cool and I could have done that at home.
I tried to get my money back when I returned to Michigan, or at least some of it, but it was a no go. So, next time I visit Florida, I will just go with my first instinct and go to Disney or SeaWorld because I work too hard for my money for it to be flushed.
- Good attractions
- Bad service
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Disneyland or SeaWorld better yet anyplace but universal

Verified ReviewerWaste of $350.
Spent $350 to go on 4 rides. First 3 rides took 4 hours to even get on for mediocre, outdated experiences.
The final ride, The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, broke down while we were on it. Complete waste of money.

Way overpriced, old, crowded, with long wait times, and rude visitors and not so happy employees. Need to fix prices and include deals for seniors.
It took almost a full day for 5 rides.
Save your money and time, and go somewhere else. Completely frustrated and had a terrible time.

Verified Reviewer |Rides not working or delayed, no support for customers
Nothing happened
Three rides were delayed and we wasted three hours in line for nothing.
It's crowded, not enough space in areas with air conditioning, and no support or family area for people with babies or toddlers.
- Harry potter theme parks
- Bad for toddlers
- Delays in rides
- No shadow or cool area
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Go from November to March, and don’t bring toddlers.

The guy messed up at the photo booth at the Hagrid ride where we purchased the photo. We thought it was lost forever.

Verified ReviewerRefund from Halloween Horror Nights
I have been trying to contact you for the last two weeks via email. I had HHH dated tickets for 10/09/2024; however, the park was closed due to Hurricane Milton.
I first contacted guest services on 14th October, advising that I could not go any other date as we flew home to the UK on the 11th October. This was ignored and I received a response saying I could go any other day. I am unable to go any other day as I am back in the UK. Please refund the tickets.
My next step is to post on social media. It shouldn't be so difficult to get a refund.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer |Parking Fee
Hello, my name is Pat Cracchiolo and I visited Isl of Adventure and the original Universal theme part.
I purchased the two part end of season pass for 199.99 + tax, this price is very fair. My complaint is
that to gouging to the Parks you are forced to pay for 32.00 to park your car.
Frankly I find this very much to be price g has left a bad taste in my system due to this injustice toward your common park
visitor, had I known of this over pricing I would have never purchased the Park Pass.
I'm retired man
of 66 yr old and live on a tight budget. Thank you for taking this matter under consideration.
Pat Cracchiolo.
- Over crowed

Verified Reviewer |1 disappointment after another
We finally get to the ticket counter to get our florida resident discount only to find out, they only accept it online now!
Really? They did this on purpose.
So we ended up paying full price with less spending money.
Merchandise has gone up in price while I'm sure the cost to make the useless crap had not.
The only 2 rides I was excited to ride were closed all day.
I will never return. It was a headache regardless of my positive attitude.
- Great roller coasters
- If they ever work
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't do it. Looks better in the commercials
Closed rides unfriendly staff.
Rope dropped Hagrid 6 times in the last 2 years. Every time the ride was down or not open.
No communication while you wait over an hour to get in to ride this ride. Staff has gotten increasingly unfriendly (not sure what that is about). People only rope drop for Hagrid. It is your premier ride.
You need to fix this. Went to Disney 3 parks one day 22 rides no delays. They come in during off hours and test and run rides all night to make sure they are up. I am very skeptical of Epic Universe due to the many issues Universal continues to have and not fix.
People pay a lot for tix. I ah e been a pass holder for 15 years. This issue of broken rides has gotten worse over the years.
My advise until the positive reviews start coming in and issues are fixed. Got to Disney.
User's recommendation: Wait till positive reviews start coming from real people before coming back to Universal
If I could give you lower than zero stars I would
There is no communication with your team and the people who bring in your revenue I was run around in circles because none of your staff knew the right answers for were your smoking areas are and they ran me in circles Im 73 years old and I couldnt get a straight answer from anyone couple that with the fact that in over the hour I saw only one sign directing anyone towards the exit this is terrible customer service believe it or not there are alot of people who are smokers I understand we are not a popular group but we do have rights
Customer service is really bad
Today, we experienced the most idiotic management decision I have ever seen at Universal Studios in Florida. Several restaurants on-site only accept online orders.
You have to download their app and order to be able to sit in their restaurants! When you pay a fortune to access the parks, you expect a minimum of services. They can't even bother serving customers at a counter. As a result, entire dining spaces are wasted and maintained at great expense while the majority of them are empty at dinner time.
Well done, Universal, for your lack of vision and for treating your customers like cattle that have to run for food.
Then finally, how many jobs were lost given this stupid decision, which surely does not please the people who paid more than 115 American dollars to go and have fun in their parks, which have become budget traps. And then, if you don't have a cell phone, bring your sandwiches; sorry for the inconvenience and the lack of freshness, especially at 95 Fahrenheit in the middle of the summer.
Preferred solution: Reverse decision and back where they were before
User's recommendation: Choose table service only in restaurants
So disappointed
Why is something wrong with every ride? People pay too much money for constant problems with the rides.
Its ridiculous. Do better universal studios!
- All rides break down
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Not even worth it

Verified ReviewerResolved: BRING BACK THE DINING PLANS NOW!!!!!
Due to system limitations, I can only select December 1st as the date it was resolved, however it was resolved on August 15th by introducing a dining card that is worth up to $1k depending on the length of your stay at a resort hotel when you book a vacation package.
They finally brought back the dining plans….in the form of a dining card worth up to $1k depending on the length of your stay when you book a vacation package.
As you may know, Universals friendly neighbors at Disney World have reinstated their dining plans (thankfully), but Universal has made a stupid effort on NEVER bringing them back, period! This is a very egregious corporate mistake, and like I said, whoever decided this needs to lose their JOB immediately!
Ive DMd a Universal Team Member on X (formerly Twitter), and all I got was that they had absolutely NO plans to bring back those dining plans at this time. I dont know what is wrong with them, but they need to know that the pandemic is over, and it is time to go back to normal!
- Harry potter theme parks
- Good rides as far i as know
- Clueless and arrogant upper management
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Don’t like to say this, but, don’t visit Universal.

Minus zero, fool there is no positive or negative for zero. It is neutral.
Did you learn that in one of your remedial community college courses today?
I am not the one that need remedial classes. You and then OP does apparently.
I am stating facts. No need to insult someone who is much smarter than you kiddo.
No one at this site has ever accused you of being smart. Over the years, you have been accused of A LOT of things, but smart has never been one of the accusations against you! It's been quite the opposite, in fact!
Dispute it with your bank ASAP. They could be playing games, waiting for the time limit you have to dispute to pass.
